THE TASTING ROOM

Our Paddock-To-Plate Restaurant

Open Sundays, 10am to 4pm

Every Sunday Brigid Kennedy, chef and owner of The Loch, opens the doors of the Tasting Room where you can indulge in the ultimate paddock-to-plate restaurant experience.  The irresistible menu changes fortnightly to take advantage of seasonal produce harvested directly from The Loch’s own farm or sourced from local, sustainable meat, dairy and vegetable producers.  During the warmer months, guests dine out on the veranda looking over the stunning garden.  When the weather gets colder, the dining room in the converted barn is opened, with its warming slow-combustion fires.  The Tasting Room hosts regular special events to showcase the best of the seasonal offerings and to celebrate special holidays, such as Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day.  We can also host private and corporate functions for that special birthday celebration or a team-building event.  After touring the stunning gardens and enjoying a delicious meal, visitors can stock up for the week from the farm stall, selling freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables, jams and preserves, condiments and house-baked treats.  If you’re after something for the house, there are beautiful bouquets of a seasonal flowers for sale and Kevin’s farm-restored antiques fill the architecturally restored stables.  Please contact us for more details.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Tasting Room strives for zero waste.  All kitchen and table scraps are composted or fed to our chickens.  Whilst our portions are country sized, diners can request a smaller meal.  We also have doggie bags available on request.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

We strive to create a wonderful dining experience for all our guests.  Please let us know ahead of time if you have any special dietary requirements so our team can do its best to design your meal to suit. 

KIDS AT THE LOCH

Children are welcome and well-catered for in the Tasting Room.  There’s lots of open space for running around and a cubby house with games and toys.  They can also explore the garden and take part in our nature hunt challenge.


The Loch is a registered COVID safe venue.  We take your safety and ours, seriously.  Our number are reduced to allow for safe, social distancing.
