Gather your friends and family and join us on Easter Sunday at The Loch for a very special lunch in the Tasting Room.
Easter is a time to share with family and friends and what better way to make the most of that time than to have all the cooking done for you! In true paddock to plate style chef and owner Brigid Kennedy has taken the seasonal best produce from the farm and local suppliers to create an Easter feast to remember.

Expect all the special Easter touches including an egg hunt for the kids at 11am and 2pm in the gardens. Imagine how many tricky places we can hide eggs on the farm – they’ll be kept busy!

Sunday, May 21  Foodie Fields of Autumn – Festival of The Roast

 

Enjoying a roast and red wine in front of the open fire is the quintessential cool weather experience. At Foodie Fields of Autumn – Festival of the Roast, The Loch takes this to an entirely new level with a seven-course degustation!

Indulge in a wide array of local roasts from our fine meat suppliers in the Highlands, duck from award winning Pepe’s in Thirlmere, lamb on the spit from Tractorless Vineyards and brisket of Angus Beef from Medway Farm followed by exceptional lean fillets from the Hairy Herefords at Your Farmer. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, these delicious meats will be accompanied by the hallmark wines of Italian families in the Southern Highlands.

While you’re being kept warm listen to the stories behind some of these stand out producers and wine makers that use the best of innovative and ethical practices to bring you the highest quality meat you can eat and wine you can drink.

Once again Brigid Kennedy of The Loch will work her magic with this local produce and produce from The Loch farm to create a seven-course degustation with optional matched wines.

Sunday, February 12 – Foodie Fields of Summer

Sitting under the wisteria trellis drinking in the summer scents and the award winning wines of the Highlands – good company, great food, great wine.

Foodie Field Days at The Loch are a rich experience of outstanding local growers, wine makers and foodies, showcasing the bounty of fresh garden and field produce.

Following on from the highly successful Foodie Fields of Spring, Foodie Fields of Summer celebrates the best of the summer harvest. Chef and owner of The Loch Brigid Kennedy, will take what’s ripe and at it’s peak and create a sensational seven course degustation the Foodie Field Days are becoming famous for.

This season you’ll be hearing from the wine makers in the Highlands specialising in cool climate award winning wines on a national and international stage.

In true paddock to plate style all produce comes from The Loch or local producers and serves to showcase the wide variety and high quality of food and wine that is coming out of the Southern Highlands.

Sunday August 31 – We opened the farm gate to our Loch Farm Stall

Guests of The Loch, locals and inquisitive visitors from Sydney and surrounds basked in the Spring sunshine and sampled seasonal delights on offer from The Loch Farm Stall.

We marked the occasion with a welcome brunch of farm fresh produce including blood orange & French Champagne Bellinis, classic country lemonade from our vintage lemonade cart and tasting boards brimming with farm-fresh ingredients – fig scones with jamon, goats cheese & freshly cut rocket; crisp kipfler rostis with dam caught trout; sublime 12-hour farm-ranged beef with sticky sauce & vibrant garden salad; syrup drenched citrus cake with butter cream and steaming, buttermilk scones with dollops of raspberry compote.

Our harvest boxes full of farm-fresh vegetables, herb posies and freshly cut flowers proved popular as guests enjoyed browsing the estate grounds.

A live performance at our vintage piano added to the unique ambience as guests chatted with Kev about his unique farm finished antique pieces.

It was a taste of the Highlands country experience to be found at The Loch Farm Stall each Sunday.
